Older 3s Program

Application Form

Three’s:

Our Three’s Room staff are dedicated to creating a nurturing, loving environment for your child.
Our Preschool Threes are very excited learners!

Students in this classroom are working toward a better understanding of the written language. Daily tasks can include tracing letters and numbers, reading stories, and art projects. Students begin the year learning or reviewing the alphabet, with a strong focus on uppercase to lowercase matching. They then move into alphabet sounds and associate words with specific letters. They are also beginning their exploration in the world of math by counting, comparing, and recognizing numbers and groups of objects. Scientifically they are looking at their world in a new light and learning why things happen they way they do. The class works together to learn about weather, seasons, animals, people, and themselves.

The main change for our Older Threes is the amount of academics each day. At this stage, our students are learning how to control their behavior for longer periods of time and how to work with more stimulation in the classroom environment. Our program is committed to support school readiness and exceeds Virginia's Foundation Blocks for Learning, developed by the Virginia Department of Education.
