About Us

Why King Solomon’s:

Our Mission is to: Inspire, Motivate and Educate young minds.
Our Pledge is to: 1. Be safe 2. Have fun 3. Grow and learn together.

We understand how vital it is to find a safe, caring and convenient environment for your children. We welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry!

At King Solomon's Christian Academy, our primary mission is to foster a love for learning in each student through exciting programs that balances each child's intellectual, physical, social, creative and emotional needs that will celebrate your child’s individuality and unique learning style. We believe that a child's day should include personal attention, gentle guidance and developmentally appropriate activities, incorporating daily devotionals and Bible study, weekly chapel, language arts, math, science, art, music and movement, second language, sign language, and recess time. Each staff member is dedicated to developing and nurturing the whole child. Children are never forced to participate in activities and instead are offered a structured daily schedule with guidance and love from their teachers that encourage lifelong learning.

We understand how important it is to create a sense of family and home in our academy, and that is why our staff provides the comfort and ultimate learning experiences for your children to help them develop a sense of self as they mature and begin to express themselves through oral language, social relationships, and creativity. Our ratio of children to adults is always within state guidelines – and often even lower – to ensure each child receives top-quality care and the attention that they deserve.

Security: King Solomon’s Christian Academy offers unbeatable security features in our facility where you can rest assured that your child is in good hands while you are away. Our closed-circuit TV monitors provide continual surveillance in all of our classrooms and hallways. Our building is alarmed and locked, all visitors are greeted by a Staff Member and must check into the front office before entering the Academy. All staff is equipped with handheld transceivers throughout the day to ensure safety measures and procedures are always observed.

Facility Excellence: King Solomon’s Christian Academy’s facility meets and exceeds all health and safety regulations through the state of Virginia Department of Social Services. We offer spacious classrooms and play areas for your children to learn and explore. Our entire facility is professionally cleaned daily and our classrooms are continuously sanitized and kept in good order.

Parent Communication: King Solomon’s Christian Academy partners with parents to provide the best quality education for your child. We believe that open and frequent communication with parents is essential. Our teachers and administration are dedicated to open communication and building family relationships with all of our parents. In addition to a take home folder, parents are provided daily progress reports by their teacher, detailing their child’s activities and general disposition.

Make the ultimate investment in your child's future by giving them a strong education and the love of learning by enrolling in our Academy!

“I’ve been working with children for over 20 years.  A wife, a mother and a Compassionate Behaviorial Specialist my passsion for children is to enable them to grow and mature physically, mentally and spiritually making them well rounded in all aspects of life.

My expertise include: Classroom Management, Curriculum Development and Standarized Testing Techniques.  I love teaching my students the art of communication.  How to  express their needs effectively even at a young age.  My teaching method includes visual support, games and critical thinking.  Being able to assess what a child needs on an individual basis is key to our children's developement.

Nicole Fernandes

Younger 3s Teacher

"I've been working with young children for almost three  years now. I enjoy playing with them and getting to teach them new things everyday. My goal is to further my eduation and become an elementary school teacher. I work hard to have all my children succeed and thrive in my classroom. ”

Brandi Ramsey

Older 3's Teacher

“Originally from Northern NJ, I moved to the Northern Virginia area for school. I am currently working towards my CDA.  I love working with children helping them grow in all aspects.  I believe that knowledge is power. My approach to teaching is both creative and hands on.  Children should have fun in learning and should be able to express their interests at a young age in order to feel that they have a voice and that someone is listening to them.  Love & Caring in my classroom is important as our children are transitioning from younger 3 year olds to "almost big Kids" as they call themselves.”

Liceth Saavedra

"Hello everyone, my name is Liceth. I am a Floater at King Solomon's Christian Academy.  I have been working with children in private care for three years. You will always see my smiling face helping out around the school and in classrooms.

My passion for children is to see them grow and develop physically and academically.  I plan to pursue a career in Early Childhood Development (CDA).

Bryanna Ramsey

School -Age Teacher

" Originally I'm from New Jersey" I'm currently working on my major in Culunary Arts. As a part time Assistant Librarian, I enjoy sharing my experiences with the school age children as well as teaching them to explore traditional and creative ways of exploring and learning when we do our class project.  As a Mentor, I believe in allowing the children to express themselves verbally and through wriiten assignments.  I believe in having the children to explore the world through reading. Working with them as they engage in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math Programs gives me the opportunity to engage their young minds in different aspects of learning.
